This talk will give an overview of recent efforts at Los Alamos National Laboratory to use quantum computers for solving important applications that require quantum physics simulation. Our findings identify quantum magnetic materials as one of the most promising applications for near-term quantum computing technologies. The challenges and successes of integrating commercially available quantum computers into material discovery workflows at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory will be discussed.
